The next midweek Communion will be Wednesday July 7th at 7.00pm., and will take the form of a Café Service. Everyone is invited. The next Traidcraft and Tools for Self Reliance coffee morning will be on Saturday July 3rd between 10.30 and 12 noon. Everyone is welcome. There will be an Open House at 107 Ashby Road, Burton on Friday 9th July 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Light refreshments served - all welcome to drop in before the Coates family start to pack up their home - any boxes suitable for packing gratefully received! There will be a District Farewell Service for Rev Wesley Blakey, current District Chair, at Chilwell Road Methodist Church, Nottingham on Sunday 11th July at 4.00pm. Everybody is invited. There will be Circuit Farewell Service for Rev Julie Coates and her family on Sunday August 1st, 6.00pm at Short Street Methodist Church. All help will be needed at the children’s holiday club August 2nd-6th, held 10.00am to 12 noon in St James Church Hall. This year the theme is “Seaside Rock”. Many hands make light work—so make sure you volunteer. Speak to Pam W or Meg. There will be a District Welcome Service for Rev Lorraine Mellor, the incoming District Chair, on Sunday August 29th 6.30pm at Queen’s Hall, Derby. As you know, we are short of Stewards at the moment. If you think you may be able to contribute to church life as a steward or would like to offer your services as a Vestry Steward then please let one of the current Stewards know. |
